I hired this company back in October 2020 to relocate from my 2-bedroom apartment to a 3-bedroom one in a tower in Abu Dhabi.

I did hire e-Movers for all my previous relocations, but since their last service was not satisfactory, I decided to look for another company.

They seemed polite and professional over the phone, and I emphasized that I am hiring them to do a FULL moving service that includes packing and unpacking everything to its original state in a single day.

They provided me with a fair price, sent someone to inspect the apartment and the furniture, and I spoke to their manager over the phone who was very polite. So, we decided to hire them.

Here is the story in short points:

1. On the moving day, they were 1-hour late. But that was not a big deal.

2. The team that arrived was seriously understaffed and the manpower was definitely less than what they promised. Every few hours or so, one guy would join up (or leave).

3. They did not have a uniform, and were very relaxed about wearing their masks. I didn’t find that reassuring at all.

4. They did not take any photos of how things were in our cabinets or wardrobes.

5. They were quick in the packing and disassembly process, I’ll give them that.

6. As soon as we reached the new apartment, trouble started. They had SERIOUS problems reassembling some of the furniture. Till this moment, a lot of my furniture remains incorrectly assembled.

7. If they broke something by accident during the moving process, they were dishonest about it and tried to hide it (or glue it!) quickly, even though this kind of stuff is okay and expected during moving.

8. Their company did not provide them with any lunch or drinks or even water during this full-day job. Of course, I went out and got them water, juices, lunch, then snacks all day long.

9. One of the biggest problems was that they seemed SHOCKED when I asked them to unpack and return everything to its original state, as agreed upon. They looked both confused and irritated by my request. Since they didn’t take any photos, they did a horrible job, and after unpacking a few boxes, we asked them to stop. We then ended up hiring housemaids from another company that spent two days to unpack 90% of the boxes (we have a lot of stuff).

10. After they were done, they all gathered downstairs and asked me to give them tip money because they have low salaries! I was really upset by their poor performance, but did give them a 100 Dhs tip (which they didn’t like, BTW).

11. The biggest problem after hiring this company is that, 9 months after hiring them, till the moment of writing this review, we still have a WOOD MITES problem. We never knew what Wood Mites were before. And the apartment we moved to was impeccably cleaned and sanitized before we moved in. So in all likelihood, as we were told by the Pest Control company that visited us today, the moving company are what gave us the wood mites (their trucks, or simply by improperly dragging furniture such that cracks would form here and there).

I hired this company because of their positive reviews on Google (which all look very similar to me now). It was one of the worst decisions in my life, and I have lost and continue to lose thousands of dirhams worth of furniture because of their totally unprofessional performance.

I was not planning to write a review for them, but after we had the visit from the Pest Control company today, I decided to post a review warning others from falling to this company.

Stay clear of this company and their ‘sweet talk’ at all cost.

As per my experience everything was good the movers were cooperative and professional the packed properly and reassembled the furniture professionally. Definitely recommend this movers company and good luck.

Booking was very easy and quote was very accurate. They showed up on time and did all the dismantled and packed everything carefully and I was very pleased. The movers were very experienced and they knew what they were doing. They are very polite and as per my experience it’s a best movers company .

A returning customer. We were happy with the service provided by Mr. Arif and team during our first move locally within Abu Dhabi. Hence, when we need to move again last week, naturally we were happy to engage the service of Mr. Arif and team. Hubby was feeling generous and offer to buy them biryani rice for lunch on the day of the move.
However, sad to say that the service provided this time wasn’t as good as the first. The team didn’t switch on the power to the fridge at the new location. When I realised it late at night, it was too late. Had to throw away all the fridge items!! Television was installed without power cord. We had to look through all the boxes to locate the power cord. They also left without installing the ceiling lamp shades. Also all the plates and glasses were not bubble wrapped, we had to throw away a few glasses too.
It is safe to say that we won’t be engaging the service of Expert Movers again in the future.
