December 20, 2020 at 9:00 pmI stumbled upon Dr Satish’s profile by accident after having gone though the worst experience with another opthalmologist with a leading hospital in Dubai. One fine morning, I woke up with hazy vision in my left eye and decided to consult one of the opthalmologists without having taken any reference for the Doctor. I was told that my vision would never be corrected without giving any logical reason despite undergoing all possible tests. I was horrified by what I was being told and this diagnosis came from opthalmologists surgeon specialised in Glaucoma and cornea. I felt I was being cheated and left the hospital with a scare.
It was then when I decided to visit Dr Satish on the very same day as I was under tremendous pressure to identify the root cause of my sudden hazy vision. Given the credibility of Dr Satish, the earliest appointment was only available in the next three weeks. I took my chances and decided to gate crash at the Doctors door even though I knew it is unprofessional but I didnt have the luxury of time to wait till the time of my first appointment. Given my line of profession( piloting) my vision is everything for me. To my surprise, Dr Satish was very humble and welcomed me even though I didnt have any appointment. He was very meticulous and professional in his line of work and presented me with scientific and factual based information to help me to understand what was the problem with my left eye. In the end, I learnt that I had some erosions of my cornea which was the cause of the hazy vision and that it was nothing alarming.
I was very relieved by the comforting words of Dr Satish but also in rude shock on how some of the medical professionals take the patient sentiments for granted. I would only and only recommend Dr Satish for his thoughtful nature, caring attitude and for knowing on how to communicate medical jargon to lay persons with sensitivity and logical analysis.
