Alterations is ok but they didn’t let me try on my outfit after they completed alteration of my clothing. The senior person in the shop at JLT said even if you try on now in shop and if it’s not fitting or loose then also you will need to pay again for further correction! We asked why is that, he said it’s because of our software design and instructions from above.
This is very unprofessional and very annoying! Feedback to the owner of Prive- you will never get loyal recurring customers with these rules in place.
I took 6 dresses which I had not been wearing because of length, fit and one the design of the top was not flattering. The lovely lady was very professional and able to suggest alterations and new neckline for the dresses and shorten the ones that were too long . I picked them up today and they all fit beautifully and the new
neckline has made a huge difference to an otherwise frumpy old fashioned looking dress and transformed it into one I will now wear . Fabulous job and very good value . Highly recommended by me.
Had a chance to try out their custom dress shirt offering. I was highly impressed by the professional service and attention to detail. Everything from custom measurements to final product was done exceptionally. The custom dress shirt was delivered on time as promised. The fit and quality of the material was excellent. Highly recommended if you are looking for a custom dress shirt.
I decided to try Prive because my regular tailor, My Tailor & Little Things, closed their branch on cluster T.
On Tuesday, 8th June around 12.45pm, I dropped 2 items at Prive. A short with a small rip and a shirt to fix the collar and 3 tiny holes. A lady took them and told me that she will send the invoice because they are busy. She asked me to write down my particulars on a post-in note. I felt uneasy leaving Prive since I have never been to a tailor that never give me the order number or invoice (paper/sms/email) but I decided to give Prive a try.90 Minutes after my meeting finished at Cluster U, I still haven’t received any details hence I send message on WA. The reply with the photo of my post-it note details with additional number ‘42’ on it. Again, I was told that they are swamp and I didn’t push forward believing the ‘42’ is the order number.
After 5 Days passed without any update. I WA on afternoon of Sunday, 13th June to ask if it possible for me to collect the items tomorrow (Monday, 14th June). Since no reply from them, I called at night. A gentleman answered and asked for the Invoice number and it’s not ‘42’. I complaint to him and he asked did I deal with the lady with the glasses, I said yes, and he said she’s off today and back tomorrow. I asked, “are my items still there and any works being done on them yet?”.
He took my particulars and called me back to inform nothing has been done. I gave instruction to not do anything and I will collect them around 11.30am tomorrow. He said that the lady come at 10am and can work on my items, I rejected it because I don’t want a half-finished work when I collect them and I don’t believe good quality of work by a rushed seamstress.
Next day, I showed up at 11.35am for collection. The same lady apologies and I said “It’s ok, since you are VERY BUSY, I will bring them to other place”.
Perhaps Prive idea by not recording anything in their system means they never have any order and didn’t miss work.
Unfortunately, the lowest rating in Google is 1 star instead of 0 star since Prive gave me 0 paperwork, 0 update, 0 work, basically 0 service.
If Prive owner read this review, hopefully they will hire more people or STOP accepting new works since the current staffs are VERY busy in clearing the backlog orders.
DO NOT BRING your VALUABLES ITEMS here!!!
! I specifically requested ( at least ten times ) to do Not stitch the little holes in my GIORGIO ARMANI t-shirt and also told them to not rush ( I am ok in giving people all the time they need to do a good job) One week later they did completely the opposite! My t shirt was stitched and now it’s ruined! I also don’t want to mention the other unpleasant fixing on other items . Just a heads up from someone who works in the field of luxury clothes … STAY AWAY from that place and go somewhere else.
UPDATE: I recently got back to the shop since a couple of friends strongly suggested me to directly deal with the Manager/Owner and I must say that the experience has been pleasant and handled in a professional way.
I will be back and only deal with him from now on.
